About Matt McMann
FUN STUFF
I wrote my first spooky story for a school writing assignment when I was twelve. It was not good. If you like bad scary stories, you can read mine here.
After that, I wanted to become an author and write the kind of spooky mystery adventure stories I loved to read. In middle school, I won the annual creative writing contest in both 7th and 8th grades (Thanks, Mr. Douglas).
In high school, I decided to pursue music. After college, I became a professional musician for twenty-six years, performing in a variety of places including parks, churches, a shopping mall, an NFL stadium, a cruise ship, and Austria.
Now I’m back to writing spooky stories. I also write a personal development blog that is not scary. Except when I wrote about the time I chased a ghost light on the mountain behind our house. You can read that story here.
On my YouTube channel, I interviewed my daughter about playing Nancy Drew on TV, my wife about writing New York Times bestsellers, and reviewed some great books for kids. You can watch those videos here.
